Federal Criminal Process

A person is said to be indicted of a federal crime if the crime he committed has a federal connection or element that provides the basis for the case going to federal court. The federal rules for criminal cases govern all aspects of criminal trials through a procedure set by the federal government. Federal criminal rules are strict, and the charges are severe.

Not every crime is a federal crime. The nature of the offense determines whether it comes under federal crime or not. For example, bank robbery is a state crime, unless the bank is a federal bank. Murder of a federal official comes under federal crime. If you are accused of a federal crime, then you need an experienced lawyer in order to stand a chance against the vast resources of the United States government. You need a lawyers who knows how to protect your rights and interests.
